transport

We all know that we rely too heavily on the private car and that roads are congested and air polluted as a result. What can we do about it? Public transport is the obvious way forward, despite the well-documented problems on the railways, but walking, cycling and car sharing can also play a part.
We can also help to reduce pollution by buying smaller, more fuel-efficient cars, converting to alternative fuels or simply cutting our speed.
